At TomGerritt.com you’ve found a site devoted to God, writing, and writing about God.
Feel free to browse the TOPICS menu, where in Future History – The Mysteries of the Revelation is a series of articles that unpacks the timeless mysteries of what some perceive as the most enigmatic of all the Bible’s sixty-six books. Like all other books of the Bible, however, it is meant to be understood and with a little study it can be.
Was Jesus tempted… yes, or no? In the Temptation of Jesus series we’ll explore the issue and how it relates to Him and to us.
Heroes – we all have them and know them – those men and women who serve or have served our nation and communities in so many ways either in the military, as police officers, firefighters or paramedics. Maybe the person you look up to is a physician or a nurse, or maybe it’s the person down the street who toils tirelessly behind the scenes doing the mundane but necessary tasks that enrich all our lives. Under the Home for Heroes topic you are afforded a place to share something about that person, whether living or passed on, and I encourage you to do so. We honor these otherwise-ordinary people because they are extraordinary Americans from all walks of life whose bravery and patience, sacrifice and perseverance are the examples for us all to follow.
In Tom at Large I’ll post miscellaneous articles, transcripts from speaking engagements and short stories from time to time.
News and Announcements will keep you current on upcoming events, speaking engagements or other points that may interest you.
Look around and leave an encouraging word or comments about the content or improvements you’d like to see on the site. I’d love to hear from you!

A Mirror in Pieces – Book 1 of the To Touch the Sky series –
Leslie lost her older sister and her sight to tragedy at the age of sixteen. Ten years have passed, yet Leslie still struggles daily with fear and depression, secluding herself from everyone except her father and a very small circle of close friends until she meets Owen, a workaholic Christian using his skills as a pilot in both his business and a missionary effort in the remote reaches of the Amazon. With the assistance of Owen’s office manager DeLois, Leslie discovers romance, but much more – a renewed faith in God – as she seeks physical healing and the inner strength and determination to conquer the most relentless of all adversaries – her own fears, personal self-doubts and insecurities.
Tragedy strikes once again as, while on her quest, Leslie is travelling with her father in his small plane and he becomes incapacitated. Overcome by a flood of swirling emotions, Leslie is left to keep the plane in the air, outrun a dangerous thunderstorm and, with Owen’s help by radio, attempt to successfully land the plane.
